Joe wanted to present a 90 year old relic to Dartmouth

In 1935, Dartmouth played Yale, their Ivy League rival. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Ivy League produced many American football national champions, and Dartmouth was always a contender. Yet, in 51 years of playing each other, Dartmouth had never beaten Yale. That all changed on a chilly November day in 1935, as Dartmouth finally ended the “Yale Jinx.” Before the last play, the goalposts were torn down, and Jack Handrahan, a fullback for Dartmouth, retrieved a piece of it. That relic remained in the Handrahan family for nearly 90 years before it was given to Joe for safekeeping. He commissioned us to build a suitable display case before donating it to Dartmouth College. Made from reclaimed mahogany heartwood, the display case is designed to protect and secure the relic for future generations of Dartmouth alumni.
